When someone buys a Ute they often want to modify it in some way so that it either looks different from everyone else’s vehicle or so that it has more space, speed or power. Custom Utes are big business and you can usually get specialists to change your Ute to how you want it. Some of the categories for customising your Ute are:
- Adding external accessories such as a bull bar, hub caps, different lights, roof racks, spare wheel carriers, nudge bars or adding a hard back cover.
- Adding internal accessories such as mirrors, radio, speakers or seat covers.
- Major modifications such as a body change, roll cage, full-time bogie drive or coil spring suspension.
- Chassis extension with additional axles and airbag suspension.
- Custom steel tray.
- Engine modifications for increased power.
- Design or logo added to the paint job.
These are not the only ways of modifying your Ute to make it a custom job, but it gives you some idea of what is available. Some of the modifications are really expensive, but that may not worry the person who needs to have his Ute changed for work purposes, or for racing or showing.
One benefit of modifying your work Ute by adding a design or logo is that it becomes a highly visible advertisement for your business. It is on show wherever you go and so people get to know who you are and what you do very quickly.
